TCC is hiring a Graduation Outreach Specialist to work in our District Records Office.  Information on the position is below.


Graduation Outreach Specialist

Job Description Summary:

Monitors term to term and year to year retention to identify stop out and current students who are between 50 - 63 semester credit hours so they can be proactively awarded degrees and/or certificates, or encouraged to complete degree and/or certificate requirements, thereby increasing graduation rates.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  *   Continually builds recruiting pool and identifies potential graduation candidates by monitoring term to term retention
  *   Evaluates degree completeness of those identified in the recruiting pool
  *   Communicates through telephone, e-mail, letters, and other documents to potential student graduates and other TCC stakeholders and constituents
  *   Researches best practices and methods of recruiting from stop out pool
  *   Establishes and maintains a close working relationship with Academic Advising on each campus to effectively direct students for their plan of completion
  *   Coordinates and develops relationships with area institutions to increase reverse transfer graduation rates
  *   Uses interpersonal skills, thinks, reasons, and makes sound judgments to decide how duties and responsibilities are completed within recruiting and graduation time frames
  *   Collaborates with Registrars, Admissions Processing, and other Student Services departments to increase number of student graduates
  *   Runs various Colleague and Discoverer reports and analyzes results for action needed
  *   Updates academic standings for the various groups that require manual attention
  *   Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
  *   Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through the Tarrant County College (TCC) Institute
  *   Supports the values of the College: diversity, teaching excellence, student success, innovation and creativity and service to the College

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  *   Experience with Colleague/Datatel
  *   Experience with sending/receiving SPEEDE transcripts and Trusted Link Operations
  *   Strong analytical and technical skills
  *   Familiarity with reverse transfer initiatives (HB 3025)
