Dear Colleagues,
As you know, TRTI is part of the Credit When It's Due (CWID) initiative, a national grant program that aims to implement and improve the reverse transfer process between community colleges and universities, in order to award associate degrees to students pursuing their bachelor's degree.
The Lone Star College System, The University of Texas at Austin, The University of Texas System, and National Student Clearinghouse are leading TRTI to streamline the reverse transfer process for Texas students. With support from four foundations and twenty-three additional Texas institutions, we will create a reverse transfer process that is replicable and scalable. To learn more about this project, please refer to the attached project executive summary.
The first requirement for all project partners is registrar input, in the form of the feasibility scan, linked below. Your input is requested no later than Wednesday, October 24, 2014.

Your response to this scan will help the project:

* Target challenges that may impede the implementation of reverse transfer in the state of Texas,

*         Streamline reverse transfer processes and increase degree completion;

*         Leverage technology to support the pathways of reverse transfer associate degree awards;

* Build and expand faculty, staff, and professional development opportunities to increase support and understanding of reverse transfer; and

* Raise public awareness about the values of reverse transfer, the workforce impact of having an associate degree, and available transfer options.
Once again, please complete this scan no later than Wednesday, October 24, 2014.
Please let us know if you have any questions, and we appreciate your time and consideration.
Take care,

Brandi M. Ford, MA, for Lynette M. O'Keefe, PhD
