Blinn College has the following immediate openings:
Prospective Student Advisors- Brenham and Bryan campus (2 positions)

OBJECTIVE: Represents Blinn College and recruits for the college by corresponding with prospective students, their parents, and high school counselors; attends career day/college night programs; and maintains relations with the admissions, financial aid, housing, counseling, and business offices to provide the most current information to prospective students.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Recruits for the college by corresponding with prospective students, their parents, and high school counselors; attends career day/college night programs; and maintains relations with the admissions, financial aid, housing, counseling, and business offices to provide the most current information to prospective students.
Assists in developing and maintaining all recruitment communications going out to internal and external constituencies.
Assists in developing and maintaining the Blinn College prospective student web page, calendar, and listserv newsletter.
Serves as a liaison with all divisions, faculty and staff to coordinate recruiting efforts and schedule events.
Assists in developing, coordinating, and conducting on and off campus events and activities for prospective students, public school staff, Blinn College students, prospective student relations staff, faculty, administrators, and staff.
Assists in developing and/or facilitating the development and distribution of publications and materials related to recruitment initiatives.
Record, track, and monitor the information collected on students, faculty, and staffs who participate in various recruiting activities.
Knowledge of budget line items and restrictions. Keep track of budget expenditures.
Serves as an Advisor to prospective students on campus.
Performs related tasks as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS:
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent public relations skills
Ability to use Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel and other software programs
Able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize projects
Ability to organize effectively and to work with limited direct supervision
Willingness to travel extensively within the college's service area as well as other areas within the state of Texas
Willingness to work some weekends as necessary
Willingness to attend conferences
Willingness to travel using Blinn vehicles and personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed)
Associates degree from an accredited college or university
Ability to work with diverse groups
Must have a positive and welcoming personality

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Two-years professional customer service experience
Supervisory experience
Bilingual-Spanish
Recruiting and or sales experience.
