Some of our faculty schedule a portion of class time during the last week of
class for the students to meet in our Computer Lab and complete the
electronic course evaluations. For these courses, the response rates are
consistently higher.

Subject: [TACRAO] Listserv Improving the response rate for electronic course

Since UT Arlington made the decision to switch from paper-based to
electronic course evaluations, the rate of response has decreased. We would
like to discover what other schools are doing to improve electronic course
evaluation response rates by rewarding students for completion of course
evaluations, penalizing students who do not complete the course evaluation,
encouraging faculty to actively promote completion of course evaluations by
students, or by any other tactics that have proven effective.
