Master of Social Work (MSW) students take SWK 590 and SWK 595 (these are research classes) designed to provide each student with an experiential opportunity in designing a program or practice evaluation or needs assessment. Each student gathers data (primary or secondary), analyze and interpret results, and compose into a formal paper based on their proposed project. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>To provide students with "real-world" opportunities in this process, while benefiting a program or agency, we are seeking partners in this endeavor. We are looking for programs or agencies that have needs and /or opportunities where students could develop, implement and carry out some form of evaluation and we would like to work with you in providing students with this experience. Currently approximately 10 students are in need of this opportunity for this semester (Fall 2013) and to continue with the project into next semester (Spring 2013). <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>The agency role would be to provide students with either a direct project or an indirect idea for a project and allow them access to some form of data collection. While there may be varying degrees of supervision the agency chooses to provide, no direct supervision by agency staff is required.
