Dear Field Partner,

The School of Social Work, Texas A&M University - Commerce, would like to thank you and your agency for your long relationship with TAMUC - Social Work providing field education for our students.  As you well know from your own experience, it is very important for the students to be able to learn to practice in an agency while completing their final semesters of classroom learning.

Field orientation is an opportunity to meet the student(s) assigned to your agency, should you have a student assigned at this time, and as a way of thanking you for your partnership with Texas A&M University - Commerce, we will provide three hours of Ethics training, and lunch.


THE TRAINING/ORIENTATION HAS BEEN SCHEDULED AS FOLLOWS:

WEDNESDAY MAY 11, 2016


Sam Rayburn Memorial Student Center (RSC Pride Room)
8:30 to 9:00 - Welcome and Registration for Field Instructors
9:00 to 12:00 - 3 Hours of Ethics Training

Sam Rayburn Memorial Student Center (RSC Traditions Room)

10:00 to 12:00 - BSW Field Orientation

1:00 to 2:00 - SWK 422/424 Orientation

Sam Rayburn Memorial Student Center (RSC Conference Room A, B, & C)
12:00 to 1:00 -  Lunch



You may park in green or blue parking as no citations will be issued on this date.  The orientation is very important as it will cover all of the requirements of the field instructor and task supervisor,
as well as the student.  We look forward to seeing you.


Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact me...and PLEASE RSVP BY MAY 2nd so that we may be cost sensitive with our lunch budget.
