Dear Social Work Partner,

The Department of Social Work, Texas A&M University-Commerce, would like to thank you and your agency for your long relationship with School of Social Work providing field education for our students.

As you well know from your own experience, it is very important for the students to be able to learn to practice in an agency while completing their final semesters of classroom learning.

Field orientation is an opportunity to meet the student(s) assigned to your agency, should you have a student assigned at this time, and as a way of thanking you for your partnership with Texas A&M University-Commerce.

We will provide Ethics training - 3 hours CEU, lunch, and DSM-V and Pharmacology - 3 hours CEU.

THE TRAINING/ORIENTATION HAS BEEN SCHEDULED AS FOLLOWS:

MONDAY, JUNE 8TH, 2015

Sam Rayburn Student Center (Pride Room)
8:30 to 9:00 - Registration for Field Instructors
9:00 to Noon - Ethics CEUs
10:00 to 11:00 - BSW Field Orientation


Sam Rayburn Student Center (Traditions Room)
11:00 to Noon - BSW meet with individual Field groups


Sam Rayburn Student Center (Conference Room A, B, & C)
Noon to 1:00 - Awards Luncheon


Sam Rayburn Student Center (Pride Room)
1:15 to 4:45 - DSM-V and Pharmacology CEUs


You may park in green or blue parking as no citations will be issued on this date.  The orientation is very important as it will cover all of the requirements of the field instructor and task supervisor, as well as the student.  We look forward to seeing you.


Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact me...and PLEASE RSVP BY MAY 20TH so that we may be cost sensitive with our lunch budget.
