Social Worker-Bilingual

Bilingual Social Worker/Cancer Survivorship Liaison is needed for an exciting new opportunity in the new Out Patient Cancer Center at Texas Health Dallas that opened in January 2015. Texas Health Dallas joins Cancer Support Community and Texas Oncology in providing this new and creative Social Work position. We are seeking a motivated self-starter to provide cancer related resources to patients and the community. You will become part of a team establishing an innovative system of care focused on cancer survivorship. This job will require leadership qualities. Masters level required along with 3-5 years of work experience in Social Work and fluency in Spanish.
As a Social Worker in this position you will:

*         Provide distress screening for newly diagnosed cancer patients

*         Develop resources for Dallas, Collin and Tarrant Counties to assist with needs related to financial, basic life needs and emotional concerns

*         Work with a team to complete a research project related to this job

*         Provide crisis counseling

*         Implement outreach to outside organizations

*         Lead Spanish Speaking Support group

Program Manager

Social Worker/Licensed Professional Counselor is needed for an exciting opportunity. Cancer Support Community North Texas is seeking an energetic and dedicated person to manage and provide daily program operations in a beautiful new location. This is going to be a great job for the right person.
As Program Manager in this position you will:

*         Recruit new participants

*         Lead support groups

*         Manage the daily operations of the program and staff

*         Implement outreach to outside organizations

*         Develop and run monthly calendar activities

*         Be a spokesperson for the organization
