[swkcommunity] FW: Death of Dr. Ara Lewellen, retired SW faculty

[Janis Cirkles]

Dear Social Work Community - those of you who have been associated with the social work program at A&M Commerce (and East Texas State University) may remember Dr. Ara Lewellen who was on our faculty for a number of years? She passed away last week and the link to her obituary notice is below. She and I both started with the Social Work program when it was under the Sociology Department in 1993. She was a remarkable, caring faculty member, colleague, and friend. She touched many lives and will be sadly missed.

Dr. Brenda Moore, Associate Professor
School of Social Work
