POSITION: Clinical Social Worker IV    POSITION #: 811    Working Title: Crisis LPHA

Supervised by: MH Clinic Director

Directly Supervises: None

Position provides services and support to the Crisis Screening Intake (CSI) Team including, but not limited to, diagnosis and counseling to children, adolescents and adults in a seven county service area.  Provides crisis intervention and various other direct client services to assist clients assigned to crisis services packages to access medical, social, educational an other needed resources.  Performs intake assessments and diagnosis for newly admitted clients; provides follow-up services for up to 90 days to individuals who are not admitted for ongoing services within the MH Clinic; and documentation of client progress.  Serves as member of after-hours crisis hotline rotation.  Requires regular travel between Lamar, Titus and Hopkins Counties.  Must be knowledgeable of mental illness, diagnosis (DSM IV) and treatment, including psychotropic medications.  Minimum Qualifications: Requires a Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in counseling, social work, or psychology, with current Texas licensure as LPC or LCMSW (LMSW-ACP). Must have a valid Texas driver’s license and an acceptable driving record, as well as personal automobile liability insurance as required by the state of Texas.  Preferred Qualifications: Two years of related work experience in a mental health setting; working computer skills including MS Word; and bilingual skills (English/Spanish).
