Texas MENTOR, a foster care agency, is currently looking for two foster
home developers.  One position is located in the Arlington Office and
the other in the Garland Office.  

 

A Foster Home Developer is responsible for the following:

Screening and Training Prospective Foster Parents

Training Current Foster Parents

File maintenance and compliance

Ensuring Foster parents are in compliance with Texas Minimum Standards 

Home visits with current and prospective foster parents

Some nights and weekends are required

Travel within the Dallas/Fort Worth area is required - Mileage is
reimbursed

Write Foster Home Assessments

Advertise for prospective foster parents

On-call after-hours emergency rotation 

 

 

A qualified candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree, have good
writing and assessment skills, able to speak in front of groups, and be
a team player. Organizational skills are also required!  Must be willing
to work some weekends and evenings and have reliable transportation.
Experience in the foster care experience is a plus but not required.
