For the workshop portion of this meeting, I will be presenting on
"Ethical Integration of Christian Faith and Social Work Practice: What
Role Do Core Christian Beliefs and Values Play in Integration, and Which
Ones?"

Presentation Abstract
This presentation will illustrate a variety of core Christian beliefs
identified by Alan Keith-Lucas and Catholic Social Teaching as
particularly relevant and useful for integrating with social work
practice, and the role such beliefs and values should (and probably
should not) play in the integration process. Case study examples and
vignettes will help illustrate the value - as well as the potential
tension - sometimes created through the integration efforts of
Christians in social work.

For Additional Information

For additional information about this presentation, including learning
objectives, see below.

Please feel free to invite any other Christians in social work you know
that you think might be interested in joining us (whether a member of
NACSW or not). Also, if you have any questions about this meeting, don't
hesitate to contact me. We hope very much that you are able to join us
on September 9th in Mesquite!

Peace,

Rick Chamiec-Case, Ph.D., MSW, MAR
