Brenda,

I am one of the new coordinators for the Operation Healthy Reunions project
at MHA of Greater Dallas. We will be working in collaboration with the
American Red Cross on a new and exciting program.  This program will be
serving Afghanistan /Iraq veterans and there families in Dallas and 11
surrounding counties.  We will be addressing their mental health needs as
well as other needs to help them transition back into civilian life.
Operation Healthy Reunion will assist in identifying there needs and
providing the resources for a healthy transition.  The Red Cross of America
will be referring these veterans to MHA to participate in our program.  This
program will be up and running no later than early Jan. 2008. We are
contacting providers in these areas that have clinical experience with
individuals and families in trauma and/or PTSD. The counties we will be
serving are Dallas, Hunt, Collin, Van Zandt, Ellis, Rockwall, Denton, Rains,
Hopkins, Delta, and Navarro. We are also, contacting local resources in
these counties to introduce our program for prospective clients and
referrals. Please let me know of any appropriate providers or resources in
these counties that might like to take part in this program.  In addition, I
would like to keep you informed of any events that we are working on.
Currently, we will be hosting a two day conference in February,
"HEALING-Helping Soldiers and Their Families". I have attached the
information.  The location as not been decided but it will be in the Dallas
area. This conference will be educational and informative when working with
these veterans and their families. We are looking for sponsors as well as
exhibitors. I will send you a brochure and additional information about the
program and conference as I get it.  I do not know if you remember that my
husband is in the military so I have a personal interest in this project.  I
am thrilled to be part of this program and to be able to serve these
veterans as they have served us. Please feel free to call me if you need any
