Good afternoon,
Before submitting your organization's registration, please make sure the organization constitution is up-to-date and includes the necessary non-discrimination clause and anti-hazing clause.
If your organization is a fraternity or sorority you can discriminate based on gender covered by Title IX; however, you cannot discriminate based off other protected classes so please adjust your non-discrimination statements to reflect that.
Below are the statements to make sure are in your constitution.
If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.

Non-Discrimination Clause: (Name of organization) will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sexual orientation, gender, gender expression, gender identity, religion, disability, age, veteran status, ancestry, or national or ethnic origin.

Anti-Hazing Clause: This organization prohibits its members, both individually and Collectively from committing any acts of hazing as defined herein:
" 'Hazing' refers to any intentional, knowing, or reckless act, occurring on or off the campus of an educational institution by one person alone or acting with others, directed against a
student, for the purpose of pledging, being initiated into, affiliated with, holding office in or maintaining membership in any organization whose members are or include students at an educational institution" (Senate Bill 24. Section 4.01-4.50).

Thank you,
Jeremy Sippel
