Sign up for Hot Spot Volunteering!

It is that time of year to volunteer to work Hot Spot locations to welcome new and returning students to campus.  What are Hot Spots, you ask?  They are the information tents located at 4 high impact areas around campus the first three days of class to help students find their way to class, get information about campus services, connect with our campus community and get a bottle of water to help with the heat.



Please review the following information regarding Hot Spots.

·         Timeline:

o   Signups are open NOW!

o   Virtual self-paced training will be conducted 8/17-8/20

§  Training materials will be sent to all volunteers who sign up via the link

o   On Thursday 8/20 at 5:00pm if you have not completed your training you will lose your volunteer spot

·         Responsibilities

o   Wear your favorite blue and gold!

o   Arrive ON TIME

o   Stay for your entire shift

o   Abide by all safety and physical distance guidelines outlined in training

Time slots are listed by day, time and location.  Volunteers will be provided with a PowerPoint training to review prior to working. All volunteers will take a training review quiz and must receive 100% to ensure that you understand all responsibilities prior to volunteering at Hot Spots.
