On behalf of the Department of Multicultural Affairs, we would like to invite you to consider participating in our 2016 Multicultural Student Leadership Summit on April 2nd 2016 here at Baylor University. This year's summit will take place in the Bill Daniel Student Union Building here at Baylor University from 9am to 4pm.  By participating in the summit, students will:



*         Enhance their cross-cultural competency and ability to work with people who are different from themselves.

*         Gain a deeper understanding of the importance of a healthy ethnic identity.

*         Discover ways to build meaningful intra-dependent and inter-dependent relationships that foster collaboration.

*         Discuss the perspectives and experiences of different ethnicities, including African-American, Asian-American, Hispanic/Latino, and White.

*         Gain effective leadership knowledge and skills, such as time management, organization, communication, and event planning, to manage student organizations.

*         Participate in round table discussions covering several topics, from budgeting to officer transitioning.

*         Experience meaningful interactions with students from a variety of different colleges & universities.


The keynote speaker for this year's Multicultural Student Leadership Summit is Joshua Fredenburg. Mr. Fredenburg is a nationally recognized speaker, author, and leadership consultant who provides expert advice on leadership, diversity, and healthy relationships in a practical, engaging, applicable, inspiring, and dynamic manner! Already, he has reached thousands of emerging and seasoned leaders in over 42 different states nationally as a keynote speaker, workshop presenter, and leadership trainer.
