Greetings,
The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) at TAMU-C is seeking donations of Halloween items. We would greatly appreciate assistance in working a station at the event and/or a 2 bag of candy donation for our 2015 Trunk-or-Treat.

Trunk-or-Treat is an annual event hosted by the TAMU-C NAACP. The purpose of the event is to offer young children in the community a safe alternative to door-to-door trick or treating. The name "Trunk-or-Treat" is derived from the fact that a local car company donates new model cars to showcase at the event and the organization fills the trunk of these cars with candy for the children. In addition to candy, trunk-or-treat offers face painting, crafts, coloring, and activities. Previous year's activities included hopscotch, face painting, hula-hoop contest, dance contest, and even the popular children's game "Mother, May I?". Via offering this plethora of activities we give parents an opportunity to enjoy the night with their children while listening to child friendly music and participating in safe educational activities like our trivia stand.

This past Halloween we hosted over 125 parents and children, gave away over 500 prizes and enough candy to rival any trick-or-treat night.

During this event in the past community leaders like Williams Automotive, McDonald's and A&M-Commerce have joined forces to make the event a success. We've been able to provide clean and safe fun in a friendly environment, upon which we would like to constantly improve. The event is totally free to the community and we make no profit from the event other than knowing a great deed has been done. If there is anything you can do to provide Halloween items we would greatly appreciate it. For donations, you may call me at 214.548.2863.

If wanting to help out please respond by Wednesday, October 21st. Here are is list of possible activities, stations given on first come first serve, let me know your 1st and 2nd choice:
