Dear Student Organization Leader,

 

I am so excited about the upcoming Student Sunday event on Sunday
February 7, 2010, at

First United Methodist Church- Commerce during the 11:00am worship
service. We are

inviting all student organizations and their members to attend this
special day with us. I am

personally extending a special invitation for you and your members to
worship together as

an organization for a day of great fellowship and bonding.

 

It is our calling as a Church to support students in whatever way
possible. We believe by

providing this annual joint worship experience, is one of the ways in
which we offer

ourselves. Since February 7 is designated as Student Sunday, this will
be a worship service

designed with students in mind. Through this planning process, we have
taken into

consideration all of the hindrances that may sway your decision to join
us.

 

Here are a few of the planning details that have been addressed:

 

* Location/Transportation: Our building is directly across the street
from the

University (in front of Gee Lake). If transportation is needed, we will
be more than

happy to provide, please call 903.886.3220 to request transportation.

 

* Clothing: Come as you are! Don't worry about the right "church"
outfit.

 

* Worship Service: We are veering from our traditional worship style and
offering a

Contemporary worship experience. Join the New Beginnings Multicultural
Gospel

Choir, Uniquely Blynded Praise and Mime Ministry and other student
leaders

participating throughout this special service. I will be preaching the
message

"What's Love Got To Do With It?"

 

* Free Food: There will be a free meal provided at the conclusion of
service.

 

We have carefully thought of students through this planning process, and
it would be our

honor if you and your organization's members would be in attendance.

 

Again, I cannot fully express my excitement to you about Student Sunday
on February 7

at First United Methodist Church- Commerce during the 11:00am worship
service. Please

mark this special event on your program calendars and disseminate to
members. I ask that

you would be present to worship and fellowship with other students from
all aspects of

campus life.
