Committee, we hope that you all are getting ready and are excited for the upcoming fall semester. We are extremely excited to have each of you back on our campus! Your organization is cordially invited to participate in V.I.S.I.O.N.S. 2012 (Various Illustrations Sharing and Introducing Organizations to New Students). The event will take place in the Rayburn Student Center on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 between 5:30pm – 9:00pm, as a part of the Lions Roar events. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:14.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:14.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"'>The program will start with an organization fair from 5:30pm -7:00pm on the 2<sup>nd</sup> floor of the Rayburn Student Center. Following the fair, there will be a showcase component in the conference rooms, where student organizations can choose to perform (dance, skit, short video or a combination of all these) for 5 minutes or speak about their organization for 2 minutes. Be as creative as you can -- but make sure you stay within the time limits. Please remember, due to time constraints, the number of performances will be limited and will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:14.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:14.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"'>All organizations that choose to <b>perform</b> in the showcase component of this event <b>MUST</b> attend a rehearsal on Thursday, August 30<sup>th</sup> from 12<span style='color:#003300'>:00</span>pm-6<span style='color:#003300'>:00</span>pm. The time slots are limited and will hence be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please click on the <b>“doodle” </b>link provided at the bottom of the email to select a time for your organization’s <b>performance rehearsal.</b> If you choose to speak rather than perform, you are invited to attend a special session with Toastmasters International, where you will receive advice, tips, and feedback on how to improve your speech delivery.
