[Stuorg-adv] Organization Registration Errors

Good afternoon,
Please remember when submitting your organization's registration that rosters need up-to-date membership and students who meet the requirements for membership. Also, please make sure organization constitutions include the necessary anti-hazing and non-discrimination statements! The statements are listed below that an organization can copy and paste into the constitution. Fraternities and Sororities are protected by Title IX single-sex organizations so they can remove sex from the non-discrimination statement.

Non Discrimination Statement:
(Insert student organization name) will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, or sexual orientation.

Anti-Hazing Statement:
"This organization prohibits its members, both individually and collectively from committing any acts of hazing as defined herein:
"Hazing" refers to any intentional, knowing, or reckless act, occurring on or off the campus of an educational institution by one person alone or acting with others, directed against a student for the purpose of pledging, being initiated into, affiliated with, holding office in, or maintaining membership in any organization whose members are or include students at an educational institution (Senate Bill 24.  Section 4.01-4.50)."
