[Stuorg-adv] A few FAQs for organization registration

Good morning,
As organization registration has opened, there are a few questions that organizations have had. Below are explanations and the answers to some frequent questions. Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

What is an EIN and what if I do not have the documentation? Your EIN is the tax ID documentation your organization has from the IRS. It is part of the documentation your organization submitted to open a bank account (if you have a bank account). If you do not have the documentation, please let me know and I can see if I have a saved copy. Otherwise, if you are a signor on your organization bank account, you can get a copy of the document from your bank.

Can I wait to register my organization if we do not have meeting information yet? Yes, you can wait. You can also put TBD for the time-being and go back to edit that section after you have set your meeting time/day/location. Just a FYI, if you are looking at booking rooms in the RSC, do that ASAP as spaces fill up quickly.

We are doing our election in the Fall, can we wait till after our election to complete the registration? Regardless of elections, you must submit your completed registration by the September 24th deadline with current officers. If you are holding elections after September 24th, you will need to update the officer information and notify my office of any changes.

Do I need to list every member of the organization on the roster? YES!! This is very important so we can track memberships, send out important information, and ensure organizations are meeting roster requirements.
