Hi LIONS!
My name is Shealee Owen and I am the President of the Rotaract Club of Commerce. We are an international service organization that partners with Rotary International to serve both the community of Commerce and various communities around the world!
This October, we are partnering with Food 4 Kids – a program in the Commerce Independent School District that provides backpacks filled with food for students to take home over the weekend so that they have food to eat before they can return Monday to school.
We, as the Rotaract Club if Commerce, are hosting Trick or Treat So Kids Can Eat! This event is a food drive that will supply foods for the local Food 4 Kids program at the Middle and High School levels. YOUR ORGANIZATION is invited to participate!
Your organization will be tasked with picking up the donations (door-to-door) on assigned routes in Commerce… and the best part – IT’S A COMPETITION.
Your organization will have at MOST a 2 hour commitment the night of the project.
We will meet tentatively at the Baptist Student Ministry lawn (1612 Lee St, Commerce, TX 75428) on Oct. 30th at 6:30 pm and we will divide into our respective routes. We should be finished at approximately 8:30 pm. We encourage your team to wear matching attire and designate a few drivers before the event begins.
Participating Organizations will compete with each other to gather the most donations. There will be a PRIZE to the winning organization!
