Happy Thursday Student Organization Leaders! 

 

The Homecoming Spirit Competition Packet is now available! This packet
is available online, please visit: www.tamuc.edu/homecoming2012
<http://www.tamuc.edu/aboutus/alumni/homecoming/Students.aspx>  and
click on the link that says for "Students". The form will have in depth
explanation about the events. Should you have any more questions about
Homecoming Events feel free to email myself or Mid
(Midhun.kadavil at tamuc.edu). We are looking forward to an extremely
exciting week fill with fun events. We encourage each of your
organizations to get involved with Homecoming this year and get creative
to make this Homecoming the best one yet! Please note that the Spirit
Competition Packet is due Wednesday, October 17th by 5pm. Please make
sure that you read each page carefully for additional deadlines & forms.


 

Also, remember that Homecoming Royalty Applications are available as
well at the above link. The deadline for this is Monday, October 8th at
5:00pm. In order to apply for Homecoming King or Queen, an active
student organization must first nominate their candidate(s). Once
nominated, the candidate must fill out the form online. Below are the
eligibility requirements for Homecoming Royalty: 

*         Applicant must be a full time student of Texas A&M
University-Commerce.

*         Applicant must be in good standing with the University and
have a minimum of a 2.5 cumulative GPA.

*         Applicant is required to have attended Texas A&M
University-Commerce for at least one academic school year (two
consecutive semesters).

*         All applicants must present documentation of good standing
from the University, this can be obtained from the Registrar's office,
located in the One Stop Shop.

*         In order to be a candidate you must be nominated by a
registered student organization of which you are member.

*         Single gender organizations may only nominate the gender that
the organization is comprised of.  If you are a part of a coed
organization you may only nominate one candidate of each gender
represented in that organization.

*         Provide a biographical representation of yourself. This will
include your goals, achievements, and why you think you should be chosen
to represent A&M-Commerce as Homecoming King or Queen. Also include a
quote about the pride you have for Texas A&M University-Commerce.

 

Please note that Royalty Applications must be submitted via online by
5:00pm, Monday, October 8th. Applicants must also submit a Slip of Good
Standing (available via the Registrar's Office) to the Student
Activities and Leadership Suite, RSC 272, by 5:00pm, Monday, October
8th.
