Relay For Life is only 2 weeks away!!

Join us for the 7th Annual American Cancer Society's Relay for Life at Texas A&M University-Commerce and celebrate one more Birthday! Don't miss out on this strong campus tradition. See below for important Relay for Life updates. You still have time to register yourself or your team to continue the fight against cancer!

Relay for Life will be held April 16th, 7 pm - April 17th 7 am at Memorial Stadium. So come out and join the fun!

For new teams or participants:

·         If you are interested in registering a new team the deadline is the day of the event April 16th, but don't wait until then, visit the www.tamucrfl.com and register today!

·         Having a Relay team is a wonderful team building and bonding experience for your organization, department or club!

·         Registration fee is $45 per team, and can be done on the web at www.tamucrfl.com <http://www.tamucrfl.com/> , Team limit is 1-15 people per team.

 

For Registered teams:

*	A big thanks and shout out to all the organizations, departments/offices, clubs and community members who have signed up your team!!! Check out the competition at www.tamucrfl.com <http://www.tamucrfl.com/>  
*	The next Team Captain Meeting will be held on Thursday April 8th  in the Leadership Lounge of the Student Center at 6:30 pm 
*	Bank Night for team totals will be on April 15th at 5 pm in the Leadership Lounge 
*	To advertise your team fundraiser on the Relay For Life website email karanday at yahoo.com or ashley.peebles at cancer.org. 

 

If you are a cancer survivor or currently battling cancer or if a loved one you know is?

·         Please join us for the Cancer Survivor celebration at the Relay, please register at www.tamucrfl.com <http://www.tamucrfl.com/>  or contact Valen Chavez at valenc85 at yahoo.com it is totally free and you will receive your special Relay survivor shirt and can participate in many of the activities organized to celebrate life!


Do you know someone who has been touched by cancer and want to honor them?

·         Purchase a luminaria that will be lit during our Luminaria Ceremony of Hope at the Relay

·         These are available for a $5 donation and can lit "In Honor" or "In Memory" of a friend or loved one, for more information contact our Luminaria Chair Ashley Strange or visit www.tamucrfl.com <http://www.tamucrfl.com/>  

Want to participate, but are unable to join a team or attend the Relay?
      --A few other ways of being involved are:

*	If you have a band or can sing and you would like to play/perform for part of the event let us know 
*	You can volunteer and help on the Planning Committee and help us make this worthy event a reality 
*	You could fundraise individually or help others fundraise 
*	Sponsor or help find sponsors  
*	Visit the Fundraiser Bulletin postings at www.tamucrfl.com <http://www.tamucrfl.com/>  for ongoing or upcoming fundraising events

PLEASE VISIT OUR RELAY FOR LIFE TABLE IN THE SAM RAYBURN STUDENT CENTER. 
Stop by every WEDNESDAY and THURSDAY from 11:00am-2:00pm between now and Relay to get more information, to register or to pick one of this year's Texas A&M-Commerce's Relay t-shirts.
