<p class="MsoNormal">This is a gentle reminder of several requirements applicable to financial aid applicants. Prior email notices were sent to the student and employee list serves.

<p class="MsoNormal">Our office is monitoring for the following requirements:<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><b><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Courses applicable to the degree:<o:p></o:p></span></b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Financial aid will cover only those classes that are part of the degree program you are actively pursuing.
<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">If you have registered for classes without first discussing with your academic advisor or academic department, please check with them to make sure the classes you are registered this spring are part of your degree plan.
<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">If you have registered in courses that are not part of the degree you are pursuing, please speak with your academic advisor or academic department for their advice and guidance.
<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Financial aid will be cancelled accordingly for any and all courses that you are registered in but which are found not to be part of your degree plan.

<p class="MsoNormal"><b><span style="font-size:12.0pt">10 day rule to release financial aid:<o:p></o:p></span></b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The earliest financial aid can be released is 10 days prior to the start of courses the student is registered in for the semester.
<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">This spring semester has been a challenge as classes start on 1/16/2018 and many classes have a start of 2/1/2018.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Students who are registered in at least one 3 hour course that is part of their degree and that starts on 1/16/2018 financial aid funds began to be released to Student Accounts on 1/6/2018. We continue to release financial aid as students
are registering. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Students who are registered in courses that are part of their degree and start on 2/1/2018 will begin to see their financial aid starting to be released to Student Accounts the latter part of 1/22/2018.
<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Financial aid will be cancelled accordingly for any and all courses that are registered in but which are found not to be part of your degree plan.
