<p class="MsoNormal">Now that the fall semester has come to an end, our office is preparing for the spring 2018 semester. You may note the NSLDS Monitoring 7 day hold on your record.

<p class="MsoNormal">The NSLDS monitoring 7 day hold is a Department of Education requirement for all financial aid recipients. This hold is placed automatically on financial aid student records. It allows for updates that NSLDS may send to the school which
could affect the financial aid eligibility of the student before release of financial aid for the new semester. This hold is placed at the end of each semester within the academic year.
<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The hold also occurs prior to release of financial aid for the fall semester of a new academic year. The hold will clear automatically late evening of the 7<sup>th</sup> day, 12/27/2017. With regards to this hold no action is needed by
the student. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Because the time between semesters when the hold is placed is far apart, the hold is very short in duration and there is no action needed to be done by the student, most students don’t recall the hold ever been placed to start with. As
indicated the hold will clear automatically during the late evening of 12/27/2017. No action is needed.
