<li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1">The following revision was made to align with the revision approved to Policy
<i>10.02, Fraud, Waste and Abuse</i>, at the Board’s November 10, 2016 meeting.<o:p></o:p></li></ul>

<li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-list:l0 level2 lfo1">References to “investigation” throughout the regulation are changed to “review” to more appropriately reflect organizational and procedural changes within System Internal Audit related to the review of allegations
of suspected fraud, waste and abuse. <o:p></o:p></li></ul>

<li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1"><b><u>Section 1.2</u>:</b> New text states that management shall report suspected fraud, waste or abuse to the chief auditor

<li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1"><b><u>Section 1.3</u>:</b> Text is modified to clarify that retaliation against any employee for reporting fraud, waste or abuse will not be tolerated and any incidences will be reviewed in accordance with
Policy <i>32.01, Employee Complaint and Appeal Procedures</i>.<o:p></o:p></li></ul>

The System Ethics and Compliance Office and the State Auditor’s Office Fraud, Waste & Abuse Hotline are added to the list as sources for reporting suspected fraud, waste and abuse.<o:p></o:p></li></ul>

<li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1"><b><u>Section 4</u>:</b> Modified text clarifies that employees under suspension of fraud, waste or abuse may be placed on administrative leave with pay.
