<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Hello from the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships!<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">As summer courses are about to begin, and fall is just around the corner, our office would like to announce a change to our financial aid verification software. Regent Education will
be offering our institution a solution to financial aid verification with a new, more interactive environment called Regent 8 for the 2016-2017 academic year, which begins this fall.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Financial aid verification is applicable to students that apply for financial aid,
<i>and</i> are notified they are selected for further review by our institution on behalf of the Department of Education.
<u>Not all</u> financial aid students are selected for verification, but of those selected, the submission of documentation and information is mandatory. Regent is set to make this verification process easier by offering more options in submitting this mandatory
information. For example, students will be able to upload documentation directly to their financial aid profile, thereby bypassing email and current fax options. Students that have already satisfied this verification process for the 2016-2017 academic year
will be already satisfied in this new software as well.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Apart from federal financial aid applicants being selected for verification, all students completing the Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TASFA) will also be verified through
this new verification software. The Regent system will be available to all students via a new link in
</span><a href="https://leo.tamuc.edu/Main.aspx"><b><i><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">my</span></i></b><b><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Leo</span></b></a><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">, although
it will only be applicable to those selected for verification.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">This transition is scheduled to occur on or about Wednesday, June 8. A confirmation of this implementation will be sent once the conversion is complete. Please direct ALL questions about
this process to <a href="mailto:FAO.verification@tamuc.edu">FAO.verification@tamuc.edu</a> for clarification. Students selected for verification, or that currently have outstanding verification documents, will be notified individually about the next steps
in this process.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
