<p class="MsoNormal"><b><u>Vehicle/Pedestrian Sidewalk Traffic<o:p></o:p></u></b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">To protect the safety of pedestrians and prevent damage to campus walkways and other facilities, Texas A&M University-Commerce has developed the following guidelines concerning the use of campus sidewalks.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">1. Unauthorized vehicles will not be allowed on campus sidewalks. Authorization to use a vehicle on campus sidewalks must be obtained from the University Police Department. Offices that need to transport items to or from vehicles
on a regular basis should use dollies or request Facilities personnel to move the items.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">2. Drivers of service vehicles should access buildings from designated exterior routes and not along the walkways.

<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">3. Non-motorized transportation devices, including roller skates, rollerblades, skateboards and other non-motorized devices are permitted on the campus of Texas A&M University-Commerce if they meet the following criteria:<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">a. Usage does not, in any way, endanger or harm any person(s) on campus.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">b. Usage does not, in any way, endanger or harm any university property.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">4. Bicycles, which are addressed in article XVI of the Texas A&M-Commerce Traffic Parking Rules and Regulations, are excluded from this requirement.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">5. This procedure does not apply to Motorized Mobility Devices as defined by Sec 542.009 of the transportation code.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">6. The Vice President for Business and Administration, or designee, will be responsible for enforcement of the above procedures and for the development of other measures related to sidewalk safety.<o:p></o:p></p>
