Requests are processed in date order.<BR>

<B>Enrollment Requirements<BR>
</B>Students need to attend summer in no less than 6 credit hours for financial aid eligibility. Exception to this rule is PhD candidates in dissertation course. <BR>
The 6 credit hour minimum can be in one of the following combinations:<BR>
</SPAN></FONT></FONT><UL><LI><FONT SIZE="4"><FONT FACE="Calibri, Verdana, Helvetica, Arial"><SPAN STYLE='font-size:11pt'>3 credit hours Summer I + 3 credit hours Summer II OR
</SPAN></FONT></FONT><LI><FONT SIZE="4"><FONT FACE="Calibri, Verdana, Helvetica, Arial"><SPAN STYLE='font-size:11pt'>6 credit hours Summer I OR
</SPAN></FONT></FONT><LI><FONT SIZE="4"><FONT FACE="Calibri, Verdana, Helvetica, Arial"><SPAN STYLE='font-size:11pt'>6 credit hours Summer II OR
</SPAN></FONT></FONT><LI><FONT SIZE="4"><FONT FACE="Calibri, Verdana, Helvetica, Arial"><SPAN STYLE='font-size:11pt'>3 credit hours Summer I + 3 credit hours in a 10 week course OR
</SPAN></FONT></FONT><LI><FONT SIZE="4"><FONT FACE="Calibri, Verdana, Helvetica, Arial"><SPAN STYLE='font-size:11pt'>3 credit hours Summer II + 3 credit hours in a 10 week course<BR>
</SPAN></FONT></FONT></UL><FONT SIZE="4"><FONT FACE="Calibri, Verdana, Helvetica, Arial"><SPAN STYLE='font-size:11pt'>Students who are in other combinations, such as 2 credit hours in one summer session + 4 credit hours in another summer session need to contact our office at <FONT COLOR="#0000FF"><U>FAO.web@tamuc.edu</U></FONT> as these combinations need to be handled manually when disbursement begins.<BR>
<BR>
<B>Financial Aid Standards of Progress<BR>
</B>Spring grades will be reviewed to determine if students are meeting financial aid standards of progress. <BR>
</SPAN></FONT></FONT><UL><LI><FONT SIZE="4"><FONT FACE="Calibri, Verdana, Helvetica, Arial"><SPAN STYLE='font-size:11pt'>Students who entered the spring semester on a Warning or on probation status, either 1, 2, or 3, and do not meet financial aid standards of progress when spring grades are reviewed will be on financial aid suspension for summer financial aid or the next term of future enrollment. <BR>
</SPAN></FONT></FONT><UL><LI><FONT SIZE="4"><FONT FACE="Calibri, Verdana, Helvetica, Arial"><SPAN STYLE='font-size:11pt'>Students on probation 3 who do not meet financial aid standards of progress are permanently off financial aid. These students already appealed 3 times prior with approvals and have no further appeals available.
</SPAN></FONT></FONT><LI><FONT SIZE="4"><FONT FACE="Calibri, Verdana, Helvetica, Arial"><SPAN STYLE='font-size:11pt'>Students who in the spring 2014 semester or the last semester of enrollment at A&M-Commerce withdrew or received all Fs are automatically on financial aid suspension.<BR>
</SPAN></FONT></FONT></UL><LI><FONT SIZE="4"><FONT FACE="Calibri, Verdana, Helvetica, Arial"><SPAN STYLE='font-size:11pt'>Students can review their current 13-14 financial aid standards of progress through their myLEO account.<BR>
</SPAN></FONT></FONT></UL><FONT SIZE="4"><FONT FACE="Calibri, Verdana, Helvetica, Arial"><SPAN STYLE='font-size:11pt'>Information on the financial aid standards of progress requirements can be found on the financial aid & scholarships web site. <BR>

<B>Disbursement of Summer financial aid<BR>
</B>Dates when summer financial aid will start to be released to the Office of Student Accounts can be found on our front web page. These dates are when financial aid is applied to students’ summer bill <B>NOT</B> when refunds will be in students personal bank accounts. <BR>
