<p class=MsoNormal>The outdoor warning system for the City of Commerce and
Texas A&M-Commerce will change the monthly testing day to the first
Wednesday of the month. This change will be in accordance to the
National Weather Service’s recommendations for outdoor warning systems.
Previously, the testing day was the first Tuesday of every month. The
first date that the new test occurs will be April 1<sup>st</sup>. Testing
only occurs if weather permits. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Additionally, annual maintenance will occur on April 1<sup>st</sup>
causing individual warning sirens to be activated sporadically throughout the
day of April 1<sup>st</sup>. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>As we continue into tornado season, it is important for
everyone to be aware of the following criteria used to activate the outdoor
warning system.<o:p></o:p></p>

sign up for the Pride Alert Warning System and local Commerce resident should
sign up for IRIS. <o:p></o:p></p>
