Chinese art exhibit and a visit of Chinese educators to campus on Monday, Feb.

and the Shanghai Social Sciences Association are sponsoring the free art
exhibit in the Sam Rayburn Student Center on the second floor on Monday, Feb.
23 from 9-5 and Tuesday, Feb 24 from 9-6. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

font-family:"Courier New"'>Faculty/staff and students are invited to attend the
exhibit, which will feature 30 paintings by Shanghai artists, according to John
Mark Jones, director of A&M-Commerce International Student Services. The
paintings are on the history and new face of Shanghai, including ancient and
modern architecture as well as peoplešs lives in urban and rural areas.
On Monday, Feb. 23, from 1:30-3pm there will be an informal forum in SRSC 233a
(Innovations), hosted by members of the Shanghai Social Sciences Association
that will include painting demonstrations and a discussion of Chinese culture
and history. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
