color=navy><span style='color:navy'> </span></font>is scheduled for Thursday,
November 6, through Saturday, November 8, 2008.<font color=navy><span
style='color:navy'><o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><font size=3 face="Times New Roman"><span style='font-size:
12.0pt'><o:p> </o:p></span></font></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><font size=3 face="Times New Roman"><span style='font-size:
12.0pt'>Texas A&M University-Commerce has a longstanding tradition of recognizing
and honoring our men and women with military service. Special recognition
will be given this year to the United States Coast Guard. A vigil site
will be erected on the East Lawn, MSC, where sentries will stand guard over an
eternal flame. The flame will be lit at the Opening Ceremony on Thursday,
November 6th, at approximately 12:30 PM, and will burn continuously until
extinguished at the Closing Ceremony on Saturday, November 8th, at 1:50 PM,
prior to the home Lions football game against <st1:place w:st="on">Southwestern
Oklahoma</st1:place>. During the Vigil pre-game activities, we will have
a military flyover, a twenty-one gun salute, and a call to <i><span
style='font-style:italic'>Taps</span></i>. We believe our Veterans Vigil
program is significant to military and non-military citizens alike.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
