building project headed by the Texas A&M University-Commerce Alumni
Association will be the focal point of alumni activity and provide a visible
presence on campus." The groundbreaking will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday,
Oct. 17, in the area adjacent to the Heritage House (rain location lobby of <st1:place

Homecoming Parade at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20. This will be the first
Homecoming parade in approximately 15 years, said Director of Alumni Relations
Derryle Peace. "We invite the university community, local residents,
alumni, and A&M-Commerce friends to attend this event," Peace said.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

A&M-Commerce Pride Marching Band, Commerce High School Band, walking
groups, Homecoming King and Queen Court, and floats. A&M-Commerce
President <st1:PersonName w:st="on">Keith McFarland</st1:PersonName>, who is
retiring in July 2008, and his wife, Nancy, will serve as grand marshals of the
parade. The parade will start from the Science Building parking lot, turn
right on South Neal Street, right on Culver in front of Whitley Hall, and
follow the service road to University Drive. After arriving back on campus,
entries will park along <st1:Street w:st="on"><st1:address w:st="on">University
Drive</st1:address></st1:Street>. <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
