12.0pt'>Governor Rick Perry has issued a proclamation that encourages all
Texans to join with the people of <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:State w:st="on">Virginia</st1:State></st1:place>
in a bell-ringing ceremony at 11:00 a.m. as a part of their state day of
mourning. In response to the Governor’s decree, the <b><span
style='font-weight:bold'>university chimes will ring at 11:00 </span></b>today
and each person is asked to <b><span style='font-weight:bold'>stand in place
and</span></b> <b><span style='font-weight:bold'>observe a moment of silence. </span></b> <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

honoring the memory of those who lost their lives on the Virginia Tech
campus. The service will continue until 12:15 p.m. to accommodate
class schedules.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

additional signatures and sympathy messages from our University
community. Your outpouring of support will mean so much to those
students, faculty and administrators who are trying to cope with this
