THE ANNUAL JURIED STUDENT ART EXHIBITION 2007<br>

You are cordially invited to the opening of the Annual Juried Student Art
Exhibition on Tuesday, April 3. &nbsp;The opening reception will be held from
5-7:00 p.m. in the University Gallery in the <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceName
 w:st="on">Main</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Art</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceName
 w:st="on">Building</st1:PlaceName></st1:place>, room 103. &nbsp;Please note
that opening receptions for our exhibitions in the Gallery will now start at
5:00 as a convenience for our many patrons on campus. &nbsp;The reception is
free and open to the public.<br>
<br>
The Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition is a juried show, giving students the
opportunity to have their work judged by a professional from outside the
school. Art majors and Art minors may submit three works for jurying. &nbsp;The
work must have been produced in art classes at A&amp;M-Commerce. The exhibition
features works in the media of photography, drawing, painting, sculpture,
ceramics, printmaking, design, digital, and mixed media.<br>
<br>
This year&#8217;s juror is Andy Holtin, Assistant Professor of Art at The
University of North Texas. &nbsp;A celebrated teacher, Mr. Holtin is also a
sculptor of national renown. &nbsp;In addition to jurying the submitted work,
Mr. Holtin will designate prizes in the form of monetary and honorary awards. <br>
<br>
Accepted works and awards will be announced at the opening on April 3rd.
&nbsp;The exhibition runs through April 26.<br>
