style='font-style:italic'>Eddie Barker’s Notebook: Stories That Made the
News (and Some Better Ones That Didn’t!)</span></i>. Eddie Barker
was a reporter and anchorman for many years in <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City
w:st="on">Dallas</st1:City></st1:place>, and he interviewed some interesting
and famous people during his career, from politicians to movie
celebrities. Walter Cronkite, another colleague and friend, wrote the
foreword for the book. Eddie Barker will be speaking at the Gee Library,
and we will show some of the news footage that he broadcast. Both authors
will be available for a book signing afterwards. <o:p></o:p></p>
