Hey Lions,

East Texas A&M University is committed to creating a safe, healthy, and welcoming campus for everyone. As part of this commitment, the University has a campus-wide plan to:

  *   Educate students and employees about alcohol and drug issues
  *   Discourage the irresponsible use of alcohol
  *   Prohibit the unlawful use, possession, or distribution of controlled substances

Please remember that East Texas A&M University is a smoke-free, vape-free, and tobacco-free campus. The attached policy is designed to promote a healthier and cleaner environment for all students, faculty, and staff. Thank you for doing your part to support this effort.

The University will enforce all local, state, and federal laws—as well as System policies and University rules—related to alcohol, drugs, and controlled substances. The attached brochure is distributed annually in compliance with federal regulations (34 C.F.R. § 86.100).
