[Students] DIR's Additional Prohibited Technologies

Hello, Lion Community.

The Texas Department of Information Resource's GRC division released the following information today (1/31/25) regarding prohibited technologies. This notification is to inform you that East Texas A&M University will comply with the Governor's proclamation and will be banning the technologies listed below.

  *   RedNote

  *   DeepSeek

  *   Webull

  *   Tiger Brokers

  *   Moomoo

  *   Lemon8

Any exceptions may only be approved by the head of the agency, and this authority may not be delegated.  All approved exceptions must be reported to the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR).
