[Students] Denim Day

[A&M-Commerce Students]

Having Your Voice Heard
Is Always
FASHIONABLE!!!
Commit to being an UPSTANDER, actively engaging in the eradication of rape culture while supporting survivors of sexual violence!
It is often believed that sexy or suggestive clothing invites male attention whether positive or negative. Regardless, wearing revealing clothing does not invite sexual assault. In fact, this is has been proven to be less true. Asking a survivor "what were you wearing" is a facet of victim blaming. This belief reinforces the myth that women and girls invite assault by their clothing choices and shifts the blame.

On April 24, 2024, let's all wear jeans with a purpose! Join us at the campus crossroads for prevention education event with campus and community partners!

Denim Day is April 24, 2024
