[Students] Shopping carts from Wal-Mart

[A&M-Commerce Students]

Lion Community,

In the past Wal-Mart has not prosecuted anyone for removing shopping carts from Wal-Mart property. Due to the cost to replace carts, and the additional repairs having to be done because they are being pushed around town, Wal-Mart has notified Commerce PD that they will start filing Theft charges for those who remove carts from their property. Wal-Mart has advised that they will put up signage as a reminder. To avoid a citation or an arrest, please do not remove carts from their property, even if you intention is to return it.
