[Students] Alterative Spring Break

Good Morning Lions:

Application for this year Alterative Spring Break trip is now open.  Alternative Spring Break is an immersive trip experience where groups of students engaged in service related to specific social issues. Trip are designed to be affordable, educational, provide hands-on relevant experience with the community, and challenge students to think “critically and compassionately” about social issues, and return feeling “empowered to make more informed decisions and to take meaningful action that supports community efforts.”  This year trip students will have the opportunity to travel to our nation’s capital, Washington, D.C. Students will also be able to volunteer with nonprofits and explore D.C and learn more about the connection between volunteer service and civic engagement. The cost for this year’s trip is $80.
