Explanation of positions:
At-larger Senators serve on 6 Student Government committees that focus on issues to better the overall student experience (i.e., mental health, wellness, housing, campus services, and safety).
Academic Senators serve as representatives for each college and the students in those majors. Academic Senators work with the respective college Deans to ensure each student's voice is represented academically (i.e., tutoring services, communication with faculty, etc.)
Executive Officers oversee the Senate and work with the administration on legislation, initiatives, or concerns brought before the Senate.

On the application, you can only select 1 Executive Officer position and 1 Senator position (either At-large or Academic, not both). To be eligible to serve as an Executive Officer, you need to meet the requirement of having already served on the Senate for a term.

Applications are open until Friday, February 19th at 5 p.m. Applications may be submitted in person to Jeremy Sippel in the Student Government and Student Organizations Suite on the 1st floor of the Rayburn Student Center or via e-mail at Jeremy.Sippel at tamuc.edu<mailto:Jeremy.Sippel at tamuc.edu>.
