LAST DAY TO WITHDRAWAL
Fall 2020 16 Week Classes
PLEASE VIEW IMPORTANT DROP INFORMATION BELOW:
Withdrawal - The process in which a student 'drops' all of their classes, their last class, or their only class for the semester.
* In order to drop ALL or your LAST/ONLY class, you MUST complete a Withdrawal form and submit to the Registrar's Office.
* Students are required to submit a Withdrawal form in order to withdraw from the semester. The form can be located at https://dms.tamuc.edu/Forms/withdrawalform
* Beginning 1st class day, 100% refund of charges is not available for semester Withdrawals; only partial refund. Partial refunds are available in graduated percentages (80%, 70%, 50%, 25%) for a certain period of time. Withdrawals are processed using the last date of class participation that the student provides on the Withdrawal form. This date determines if the student is eligible for partial refund of charges or not. Students are still responsible for all remaining charges, even if they withdraw from the semester.
* Here are a few things to be aware of before you decide to withdraw from the semester:
o A Withdrawal will appear on your Academic Transcript as a W.
o Withdrawals DO NOT affect your GPA in any way.
o Withdrawals, after Census Day, DO count towards your attempted hours.
o Withdrawals count toward the 3-Peat Rule<http://www.tamuc.edu/admissions/registrar/generalInformation/stateRules.aspx#3PeatRule> and 30/45 Hour Rules<http://www.tamuc.edu/admissions/registrar/generalInformation/stateRules.aspx#30HourRule> (Undergraduates only).
o Students are required to check out of my campus housing, at the hall desk, within 48 hours of withdrawing.
o Withdrawing from the semester puts you on automatic financial aid suspension or warning. Please contact the Financial Aid Office at FAO.web at tamuc.edu<mailto:FAO.web at tamuc.edu> for more information on financial aid withdrawal consequences.
Below are the Drop and Withdrawal deadlines for the full 16 week Fall 2020 semester:
