Initial project parameters included a 10,000 - 12,000 square foot addition to the existing 55,000 square foot building, and repurposing approximately 7,500 existing square feet. The goal is to start construction in 2020.

Items to be discussed/considered:

* Feedback on the organization of additional facility space for:

o cardio/weight training

o functional training

o climbing wall

o leisure activities

o activity room

o other recreational, health, wellness, fitness, and facility needs that have developed since the Fall of 2014.

* Feedback on types of programming to be conducted in expanded facility space

o space requirements of each activity

o functional relationship between all activities

* Feedback on all Morris Recreation Center facility space allocations and adjacency requirements for each Campus Recreation and University partner programs and services.

Information gathered by Campus Recreation and GFF Architects will be used to present a summary of the expansion space requirements to Texas A&M University- Commerce, A&M System representatives, and the Board of Regents.

We look forward to visiting with you and hearing your feedback concerning an expansion of the Morris Recreation Center!
