A gentle reminder of key eligibility requirements about financial aid/scholarships:
The requirements below are applicable at a global level not specific to A&M-Commerce.

Eligibility Requirement: Enrollment for a term
Most, if not all of federal and state financial aid programs, require enrollment of no less than 6 credit hours.
Financial aid will not disburse automatically until such time 6 credit hours of enrollment is detected.
Check the terms and conditions through your myLEO financial aid section. Each financial aid program on your record will display its specific enrollment requirement(s).

Eligibility Requirement: Courses applicable towards the degree
Financial aid will not cover courses that are not applicable to the degree for which you were admitted. When our office is made aware that enrollment in course(s) is occurring / has occurred we are required to follow-up with that enrollment and your financial aid may be affected. Always check with your academic advisor or academic advising center to make sure you are registered or registering in courses that are part of the degree.
If your academic advisor / academic advising center is making substitutions of coursework, please have them update your record as quickly as possible.

Eligibility Requirement: Financial Aid Standards of Academic Progress
Financial aid recipients are required to maintain certain academic requirements throughout their degree. Financial aid offices are required to monitor the academic progression towards the degree. The end of term GPA, institutional cumulative GPA, the completion rate each term (attempted hours vs completed hours), the overall completion rate as the student progresses through the degree (the length of time allowed towards the completion of the degree) [undergraduate students are monitored by overall attempted hours, graduate level students are monitored by the number of years they have to complete the degree from when officially admitted to the degree; Masters have 6 years, PhD candidates have 10 years]. Specific information on the requirements based on your academic level, please visit the financial aid & scholarships office web site; http://www.tamuc.edu/financialaid.
