1525 Gala
RSVP Date: 04-10-17
Organization: Devin Oliver and Aubree Butts Memorial Scholarship Endowment
Location: RSC Conference Rooms A, B, and C
This semester the Interlibrary Loan department is instituting Devin Oliver and Aubree Butts, two extraordinary young student-athletes who touched the lives of many - including the students, faculty, coaches, and staff at Texas A&M University-Commerce. These two women left this world far too early. The 1525 Legacy Gala was inspired by the impact that these young ladies had on their communities, their teammates, and the University. As basketball players, Aubree and Devin served as captains for the Lion women's basketball team and wore the numbers 15 and 25, respectively. Not only were these two ladies standouts on the hardwood, but also excelled in the classroom and were involved in multiple organizations on campus including: the Freshman Leadership Class, Sophomore Year Experience, orientation leaders, and multiple national honor societies.
During last year's inaugural event, the goal of the 1525 Legacy Dinner was to raise enough funds to fully endow a scholarship that honors the legacies of these remarkable young women. That goal was obtained thanks the generosity of alumni and friends of the program. In addition to remembering Devin and Aubree, this year, we will be recognizing individuals who are currently impacting the lives of our students in a positive way. We will also hold a silent auction the night of the event. Finally, we will introduce our guests to the "1525 WAY" - which the women's basketball team uses as inspiration for service, leadership, and legacy.
To purchase tickets, sponsorships, or to make a donation, please visit our Marketplace page. Fifty percent of the proceeds from the gala and silent auction will go to the Devin Oliver and Aubree Butts Memorial Scholarship Endowment and the other 50% will go to the A&M-Commerce Women's Basketball program. From all of us at A&M-Commerce, thank you in advance for your generosity and support as we honor Devin, Aubree, and others. Please view the attached invitation and RSVP by April 10, 2017. If you have any additional questions, please contact Ray Garvin at Raymond.garvin at tamuc.edu<mailto:Raymond.garvin at tamuc.edu> or at 903-468-8194.

New Interlibrary Loan Software System
Date: 03-01-17
Organization: Texas A&M University - Commerce Libraries
Location: Texas A&M University - Commerce Libraries
This semester the Interlibrary Loan department is instituting a new software system. We will be switching from the current ILLiad system to a new, cloud-managed, web based platform called Tipasa.
Tipasa will be fully accessible from all your electronic devices, such as phones, tablets, and PCs. You will now have the option of being notified when your Interlibrary Loan materials are ready via text message, email, or both.
We expect the changeover to be completed by Wednesday, March 1. For anyone who may have materials in their ILLiad account that you still need to access, ILLiad will be available for approximately 3 weeks in a dormant, read-only mode to give you time to retrieve the records or articles you need.
If you have a current, active account in ILLiad, we have already transferred your account information to Tipasa. To activate your new account and to set up your contact preferences you can go to https://2833.account.worldcat.org/profile and select the Set/Reset password option on the sign in page and enter your CWID on the next page. You will then receive an email with a link for activating your account.
For further information concerning Interlibrary Loan at Texas A&M University-Commerce, follow this link: http://www.tamuc.edu/library/services/ill/ . If there are any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact Jake Pichnarcik via email : Jacob.pichnarcik at tamuc.edu<mailto:Jacob.pichnarcik at tamuc.edu> or phone: 903-886-5722.
