Shadow Ranch Therapeutic Riding Center
Application Closes: September 16
Location: Sulphur Springs, TX
As we begin the new academic year, there is nothing like coming back from a summer of fun to give some volunteer time to the community. Join L.E.A.D. for the first volunteer opportunity of the year at Shadow Ranch Therapeutic Riding Center. Shadow Ranch is a nonprofit equestrian center that helps children and adults with disabilities in Sulphur Springs, TX. Accompany us on this one of a kind service project where we will assist the riding center with their fundraiser and help run the ranch obstacle course during the event. 30 students will have the chance to partake in this beneficial fundraiser for the equine center and gain an understanding of how horses affect people in a positive manner! https://form.jotform.com/62414999153969

You are here to lead the change! It is time for the students, faculty, and staff of Texas A&M University-Commerce to give back. You know what community service is, so what makes this event any different? Our focus is to construct leaders by instilling the values and ideals of the L.E.A.D. Department through service-learning, not just one-time experiences. Join us in our efforts as members of the university for the inaugural Operation Blue & Gold: A Day of Service. This is your opportunity to venture outside the campus to create a difference that not only can be seen, but unifies the city and the campus community together as part of a collaborative initiative to beautify the City of Commerce.
