[Students] External Scholarship Opportunties News: 2016-2017 academic year

[Maria C Ramos]

It is time to look to the future; the 2016-2017 year!
Yes I know you may be saying let's at least get the spring 2016 semester started before I think about the fall of 2016!
But this time of the year is when external scholarship deadlines quickly come up.
We have a great list of external scholarships on our financial aid & scholarships web site.
As we come across new ones, they are researched, and included on this list.
And though many of these are for high school graduates who will start in the fall semester, there are scholarships listed for current college students.
So, if you have a high school senior, know someone who has a high school senior, know a high school senior that has decided to attend A&M- Commerce this fall, know a high school senior who has not yet decided where to attend college this fall tell them about our list of scholarships.
The external scholarships are listed by the deadline month and some already have past, yes I know it's only the 5th day of the new year and some of these scholarships have closed.
But there are other opportunities waiting.
Don't let the deadlines pass by. These are great opportunities.
Take a look and please pass the word!
