American Red Cross: Blood Drive

Kappa Delta Chi Sorority, Inc. and the Hispanic Student Association have partnered with the American Red Cross to bring a Blood Drive to Texas A&M University - Commerce. Relay For Life

The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Texas A&M Commerce is just around the corner on April 15, 2016 from 6pm-12am in the University Field House. So far, teams and people have signed up online, but we're missing one thing - you! This year, more than 14 million cancer survivors will celebrate another birthday thanks to the work we're accomplishing together. That is something to celebrate! We sincerely hope you can join us for what's always a moving and unforgettable event. Our Relay For Life event is just 49 days away, and there's still time to register or donate.
By creating a team, you are making a pledge to fight back against cancer. Your team can fundraise before the event, during the event, and after the event! Our goal is to have a team from each department and student organization on campus so that we are making the biggest impact possible. Balanced Living Workshop
Location: Counseling Center - Halladay Building
Cost: Free!
Are you dealing with anxiety, depression, unsuccessful relationships, and/or would like to learn strategies for managing life more effectively? If so, then this is for you. Designed as a drop-in 5-week workshop, each session is designed to teach students skills about mindfulness, self-compassion, emotional regulation, optimal living, and interpersonal effectiveness. Participants will gain a better understanding about themselves and develop tools to successfully manage unproductive emotional, behavioral, and thinking patterns.

As part of the Latino Americans: 500 Years of History grant, Texas A&M University-Commerce is honored to host Lalo Alcaraz, a nationally known Chicano artist, writer and cartoonist on Monday, April 4 at 6:00pm in the Hall of Languages (Room 203). Admission is free and the event is open to the public.

Texas A&M University-Commerce has been a leader in high-quality education for over 125 years. While this may be evident within our university community, the public needs to know who we are. The university has been working on a marketing campaign to reach new and prospective students, as well as remind our alumni, current students and university community and friends about who we are and of what we are capable. This launch party will celebrate this message, and we will unveil our new campaign theme and look.
Bring your pride for your university at the launch party, Wednesday, April 6. Admission is free and open to the university and public.
